  • Calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). BMR is minimum number of calories you need to breathe in one day. There is no such device to calculate BMR so you have to calculate it on your own.
  • Calculate you calories using calorie calculator to find out how many calories you burn in your whole day while walking, sitting and etc. this helps you to maintain your daily activity level.
  • Count how many calories you eat in 1 day by using food journal but be accurate.
  • Now do some calculation by adding BMR + calories you burn in 1 day and subtract your food calories from the total. If you are eating more than burning it means you are gaining weight.
  • (BMR + calories burned = 2000).
  • Drinking lots of water instead of coke saves your calories and it gives you more energy.
  • Exercise and moving is the tough part but it is important step of weight losing. It varies person to person but at least 250 minutes per week which is about 50 minutes only 5 days a week. Don't forget walking, taking the stairs can burn more calories as well.
